Compassionate Cancellation Policy Extension

Plans change. We understand.

If you’re on this page, something hasn’t gone to plan, and you’ve asked to cancel your booking at short notice. Kia kaha. We’re sorry you’re dealing with it.

Because your arrival date is close, cancelling means you will forfeit a significant portion of your reservation value under the existing cancellation policy. When your arrival date is this near, your cancellation means we’re usually left with an empty house, or a heavily discounted last-minute booking at best. That’s why our cancellation policy exists, and why we can’t simply waive the fee.

But we’d still like to help, so here’s an alternative:

Reschedule instead of cancel. Rather than paying the full cancellation charge, you can pay a rescheduling fee of 50% of that charge and move your stay to new dates. This halves the cost to you while keeping the impact on us manageable.

Please note that if the new dates fall in a different season, the rate difference, higher or lower, will apply.
